The filler tube is set to the rear slightly being 9.5" from the outside of the rear flange to the middle of the tube. Seeing the tank was out of Wades '37 Super 8 measured that too. 38" x 22" outside flanges x 9" deep with filler pipe in centre of tank.

In my 1940 120 there is a new tank made for a 1935-36 Ford. It's the perfect width for the frame, with simple strap mounts. It's made by 'Tanks', but others make replacement tanks too in plastic, steel, or stainless steel.
