I have three NOS driver side front parking lenses. Let's make a deal...

I have a video on adjusting and disassembling the power antenna. However, installing replacement line can be tricky and I did not show that part, as it was not needed on the antenna I was working on.

Here is the trunk lock clip. However I don't know why it's so expensive. Normally a $10 item.ebay.com/itm/135167607576

I am still waiting for all those parts I listed a couple of weeks ago.
Tomorrow will be 2 months since I paid for Tuscan Packard for the bumper and its been 5 months waiting for SMS to send my carpet.

Both of those are holding me up from getting much done.

I disassembled the antenna shaft.
The first image shows all the rust that fell out of the tube when I pulled the antenna out. I guess it was from condensation.

If you have ever wondered how that nylon cord connected inside the antenna the 2nd image is for you.

Not sure yet what I am going to do with this antenna but now I see what I am up against.

I estimate that the nylon cord should be about 4.5' long. Does that sound right?

I am curious how you disassembled the shaft as in the past I have found that to be impossible and also that fitting is not exactly how I remember it. Maybe it's an aftermarket replacement mast from back in the day?

For length, just check that it extends past the motor "pulleys" a bit when fully extended.

P.S. Be sure to lubricate properly while it's apart.

I actually watched your video last night.

I did not disassemble the antenna shaft. I did remove the shaft from the tube.
That's when the rust fell out.

Then I unscrewed the little tip at the top of the antenna and pulled the nylon strap backward until the attachment was visible. The stainless is still in one (extendable) piece.

I received the remote reservoir this past weekend from Highway 101.
They were having a problem getting the 4oz cans so they shipped a 8oz.

As expected the new cap (made for a Lincoln) fits the Packard perfectly except for one little problem.

That 90 degree hose bard on top of it hits the steering column as you crew it on (see the 2nd and 3rd image).

I am betting that I could swap the two hose bards and it would fit.
The 90 degree under the can and the straight one on the cap.

Just FYI, the original accessory remote fill had a straight nipple at the master and a 90 at the top reservoir so if the threads are the same and they will interchange I'd say go for it. You could make it even more authentic by ditching the red hose for metal tubing most of the distance and then go back to hose for the last 12" or so.

Swapping should work. Or just take the straight barb to a local hardware store (Ace, Lowe's etc) and you should be able to find another straight barb fitting. That way you don't have a weird curve from the hose at the connection to the remote reservoir.
