I should do that on my cars. The inside of those housings are very dull.

Another tip is to paint the back of the dashboard white so things are easier to see back there.

Interesting…That would make a difference. I’ll have to remember that when i have everything out to have panels re-wood grained.

I did that when I had the dash out for a repaint. It made a big difference. Much easier to see now.

It's more effective on the later cars where the entire dash comes out and can be painted.

To be effective on a 37 where the dash structure is welded in, you'd have to try to paint it from underneath.
