Are you sure? I did a search in the Registry and couldn't find it. Did you click on the "Add to Registry" button at the bottom of the Add to Registry page or could you point me to that particular entry?

I registered it with Packard Club.org How many different places try to keep up with Packards? I'll gather up my info and try to register it here. Thanks.

Another question--My Packard was converted from 6v to 12v when I got it. I should finish today adding a "generator looking" alternator and converting it from positive ground to negative ground to open the possibility of adding Vintage air in the future. I've been told the R-11 would be a better option OD than the R-9. Were the R-11 cars still 6v positive ground? Would there be a workable solution for a 6v pos ground OD to work in a 12v neg ground car?

Some later overdrive-equipped cars had 12 volt equipment. 1956-onward Fords did. I'm not certain that the 12 volt solenoids will fit the earlier OD units, but they look very similar and I think they'd fit. The governor switch will work with 6 or 12 volts. The relay would need to be twelve volt. The kick down switch should be fine with 6 or 12 volts. Overdrive was an option on Ford pickups up to around 1970 or later. Chevrolet also offered overdrive in the 1950s/60s.

There is nothing in the overdrive system where polarity would matter but you’ll probably want to source a 12v solenoid.

I added my info to the Registry. Where do I find interior and paint code info? My data plate has been sanded and only reveals stamped info such as VIN. The only other info is: I0I3 39

That information wasn't on the data plate anyway so the only way to get the information is to match your old paint.
