I don't have any experience with the reproduction tanks, so can't help there, but another option might be Gas tank renu. Link here I've used this in the past, with great luck, as have others on the site. It would remove all of the old Red Kote, and it is impervious to modern fuels. Whatever you choose, good luck!

The tank I recently sealed for my 1951 Henney-Packard, which is the 22nd-23rd series type with cut-down filler, had so many holes that the filler showed through in places. A couple needed a special putty but most were okay as they were and no need to fill them separately as the sealer is thick and dries hard while adhering well to a properly prepared inside. It took a lot of sealer and a hard outside coating in silver, painted black on top, but it came out pretty good and holds as it should.

Yes, that is the tank I'm considering, I didn't see any other vendors reproducing them?

The only green fuel I had ever seen came out of a very old Outboard motor tank and there was some copper there. Yeah, antique fuel in an antique outboard! lol
