Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to the forum so I'm not sure just how to navigate this. I have a question about my 1955 Clipper Deluxe. I believe I'm having an oiling issue due to the motor getting to 140,000 miles. I've been told by someone in one of the Facebook Packard groups that there is some sort of way to upgrade the oil pump using one from an Oldsmobile. Does anyone here have information on that upgrade or if it has already been discussed here can someone direct me to where I can find the information

There are piles of threads on this over the past 15 years. Those two are probably the most relevant.

The total kit price is about $400 as I hear. It includes a new oil pump, adapter block, driveshaft adapter, bolts, and gaskets.
