NEW SHOP IN PITTSBURGH

Pgh Ultramatic
See User information
Hello everyone,

I am pleased to announce that I opened my own shop in Pittsburgh PA. As many know, I specialize in the V8 cars and Ultramatics.

Resources
There are very few shops left in the country that stock V8 and Ultramatic parts. However, in just the past two years I have made these strategic acquisitions:
- the collection of V8 parts from the estate of notable owner/restorer Randy Berger
- the remaining parts, templates, and vendor lists of Ultramatic Dynamics (formerly of Virginia)
- the only known complete set of Ultramatic tools from Packards Alberta
- a complete set of radio testing and calibration equipment as well as a variety of core post-war radios
- a variety of spare Ultramatic transmissions and push-button hardware

With these parts and tooling, I am able to complete efficient and thorough service on nearly any mechanical or electrical system of the car. (Currently I do not do body or paint work, but there are shops in the area that can.) As you can see in the photo (that shows a small fraction of my parts on hand), I am still moving in, and I will be adding more work benches and equipment in the near future.

Reproductions
It has become apparent to me that a number of reproduction parts on the market have too long of a lead time for efficient service, are lacking in quality, or are simply overpriced. Sometimes all of the above! So, I am starting to offer these reproduction parts:
- Carpet Sets
- Weatherstripping Sets
- Wiring Harnesses
- Odds and ends, e.g. A/C Vents, Starter Bezels, and more.

Please email me if you are interested in any of these parts. I am able to offer a significant pre-order discount on new reproductions if multiple people buy at once.

Location & Presence
I will post major updates here, but please follow me on Bluesky to see what I am up to on a weekly basis.

I will be making a website soon.

My shop is conveniently located only a few miles from the I-76 exit. I look forward to serving you. Please find my email in my signature below.

Congrats on getting the shop opened! I'm sure I'll be using your services soon, and getting some reproduction parts.

Is that carpet? If it's painted floor, it makes it tough to find things that fall.
