I haven’t made any of these in decades but when I did, I simply bought some thin rubber at a hardware store and to this day they are still in good working order in my 1954 Patrician but my 1951 Henney-Packard’s are nonexistent and so are my 1956 Clipper Custom’s.

That said and since you apparently have a nice pattern, why not share it with Olson's Gaskets so that they can make them part of their inventory of templates? Even a full-size scan with the length and width pencilled in for reference would do the trick. If you don’t want to do this, I would be happy to do so if you PM me for my email as I could use several pair and no longer have the patience to stop to make things that I could easier buy.

I'm in conversation with Olsen gaskets and I think our club may still have some of the gaskets like I put in my car, which I could send them for a pattern. They said they stock a 1/8" closed cell foam that they could use to make these. I suggested that either they could make and supply gaskets directly to owners, and/or supply one of the distributors, such as Max Mettit, so they could a larger production run.

I must admit I’ve assumed the shape is elliptical, but once the dimensions are determined I will supply a table of X,Y coordinates for the profile of one quadrant based on aa ¼ inch grid . . . in that way a knife guide template could be made locally.

It's slightly off from elliptical, though I doubt a perfect ellipse would cause much issue. The taupe background is cropped to a perfect ellipse here.

I don’t believe these were made of closed cell foam and certainly not 1/8” thick so it might be necessary to send them some 1/16” thick neoprene. I’ve had them make gaskets in the past where I supplied the material, one of the more interesting one being made of leather, some of which I left with them in case more are needed. If you do have them make them, please be sure to provide the model and year fitment (and maybe even the Packard part number) for their reference which makes ordering again easier.
