The seller says "easy to restore" ?

Yep, that was one of the points, which prompted me to label the advertisement as rather silly
I am known for criticizing others' for sale ads, so I am trying to keep myself in check, because many sellers do not appreciate reading my annotations

Saw that one. I suspect that it might be missing the bottoms

That 51 200 has an Ultramatic in the trunk where someone cut off the brace instead of unbolting the rear, and the entire unit appears to be there, except for the casting of the torque converter. Can't imagine why anyone would want to remove it in that manner, OR need that one part. Very strange.

New posting on FB today:

1948 Custom Eight Sedan. Totally original car. Solid body but will require full restoration. Not running. Interior pretty ragged and paint is shot. But seller is only asking $1,800. Seller says a parts car is included (not pictured). New York:

If the body is still decent, I bet this can be refreshed and used as is. No need to restore what has not completely deteriorated

That '56 Executive has been for sale on and off for years. It did have a pretty good engine knock. I'd be a little wary if it was repaired professionally. Make your offer accordingly. PB

Also on the Executive (and maybe I mentioned it already), I see factory A/C outlets and control on the dash but the engine in it was never outfitted with a compressor as the oil filter is on the wrong side. That means that it is not the original engine. It's never been clear to me why people take portrait-oriented photos of landscapes, concerts and cars when they are part of the horizontal landscape world.

I appreciate all the executive comments. I am primarily looking for an unrestored vehicle, to be preserved and enjoyed for its historical value, so not checking out cars like that.
The portrait photos were probably just taken with the phone, without further consideration
