I’m asking here because Gerry and the other dealers don’t know for sure and I don’t want a guess.

The parts book clearly shows they are different. However I don’t know what the difference is. 🙁
For at least the 55 models, the seat cushion general construction is the same for both, and differs only between Clipper and Packard. I suspect there will be some interference when using a manual cushion on the power seat, but it’s only my best guess. packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/parts ... SearchValue=30.9006&ButtonLookup=Go

The only difference between power and non power seat frames in a 56 Junior is that the the power seat frame has two brackets welded onto the front rail to hold the adjusting mechanisms.

I knew that that was the only difference on the frame but it was the cushion I was asking about. As the parts book shows different part numbers between the power seat and non-power seat cushion for any given model, they are apparently different while the parts book listings for the backrest cushion makes no mention of the power vs non-power so they must be the same. I am not sure how the seat bottom cushion differs or whether the upholstery for the non-power will fit power or not. Depending on the difference, I may have to have that one re-made.

Worked a little today on the Clipper, taking out the headlight assembles on the way to removing the grille. I will also remove the lower front fender trim in order to get an accurate measurement to the hole location for the upper piece which on the passenger side has a Deluxe fender. The last time I was here I added the pilot holes but need to line them up better, then make them square.
I found some prior habitation in one. ![]() I was surprised to find cloth wiring when the seniors that I’ve seen were vinyl. Also the socket is different than the senior although this is an earlier 1956 and the senior may have been a later car. ![]() To visually document the hardware for future reference, the long screw is for the headlight bezel, the four shorter ones hold in the light bucket and the three pointed ones hold in the bulb retainer ring. ![]() Both out but not yet the grille as I need to first remove the parking light assemblies. ![]() Before that, solar panels were delivered as I’m finally make a push to get the off-grid power installed and working. ![]()
