ewrecks I think you are thinking of Neal Porter. He is the best choice if you need Dark Blue, Dark Green, or Dark Gray carpet.

I have found a pretty similar weave commercially and dyed it. I have had more important things to spend time on since then but plan to continue that project in due time.

I'm looking for 2 items to complete the material I need to restore my '56 Caribbean hardtop interior. One is the "felt" that the bottom and back seat cushions rest against in the seat. The color is the standard copper, trim 292. Two is the material for the package shelf below the rear window. The original, if that's what it was, was a hard dark brown cardboard material with small holes through the entire piece and painted white on the top. I want to avoid SMS if I can, too many problems with slow delivery and waiting months only to find out they didn't have certain fabrics such as a modern-day vinyl top material that would match the original in looks.

Is the brown color what you see on the outside or just visible thru the holes? If thru holes only, would something like thisa.co/d/9QSmuZj work for the package shelf if it were applied over a supporting substrate such as fiberboard or similar which was painted the copper or brown color? Another option might be a perforated fiberboard material but it might be hard to find a decent hole size and layout in that material.

Amazon also has some felt material that is available in fairly large size sheets and in various colors that might work for the seats.

I can dye white felt to match. How much do you need, is it strips or whole sheets? Also I will need a color sample.

For the perf board I have a very nice used one in stock, in green. No creases or tears.
