I want to put a bench seat back in my car, if you don't have a Packard seat frame, what are folks using for the frame.
TIA, Ken

I'm sure there are part/junk cars out there begging to give up their unused seats. Obviously, would need to do be reupholstered.
But you would have two seat tracks that bolt to the floor, and the a rectangular frame that bolts to the tracks, then the bottom cushion sits on the frame. Somewhere in my 37 project blog is a picture of a 40 seat frame and tracks thay should be close to the same as yours.

With a non-split seat, you wouldn't have access to the backseat area.
Not knowing what you current have in your car, it sounds like you have non-packard bucket seats of sometype. The original seat would be a split back bench seat. The bottom is a single cushion and the back is split into two pieces that fold forward to allow access to the back seat. So you would pretty much need exactly the same type of seat that I have in my 37 Convertible Coupe, which came out of a 40 coupe. Here is a photo I found online of a 39 110 Coupe showing the split back seat. ![]()

I took it to mean he has resto mod front seats, or perhaps is missing the back seat.

My car is not a restored Packard. But I want to get the interior components back to the scale and proportions it originally had. It has the original dash and gauges converted to 12 volt. So I'm looking at removing the transmission/drive shaft tunnel and two bucket seats from a Chrysler LHS. There is and will not be a back seat.

PackardSouthwest (Gerry L) may be able to provide an original (split back) seat frame. Not an easy item to find...coupes and convertible only.
