Severe pulling to right when braking

When I apply brakes the car veers to the left severely.
I set the brakes identical, yet after braking, I check the brakes , they seem okay yet the right wheel is free wheeling as if the brake shoe is set loose. The adjuster seems to have moved. I tries several to set the brakes and seem to get nowhere.
The front brake cylinders are new and bled correctly. All the brake hardware is new.

Ross has a good video in setting brakes, maybe there is something that will be helpful. Maybe one set of shoes isn't centered? Were the shoes fit to the drums?

Did you lubricate the raised points on the backing plate with Lubriplate? Sounds like something is not seated correctly or the adjuster is stripped.

How do you mean? That is is not in the correct position, or the adjustment changed? If it turns out that it is stripped as PGH mentioned, I would inspect and possibly replace the others as well.

Were the brakes working correctly previously, you haven't mentioned brakes in past posts?

When you state "All the brake hardware is new.", what have you replaced and how recently was it done?

That gap was not there when I set the adjuster.

Is this after adjusting them? The lower one is all the way in which means it’s not adjusted at all or else the lining on the shoes is too thick.

Also, because of the shadow I can't see the right side of the adjuster well enough to know if the shoe web is fully in the slot at the end of the adjuster. Just for information, if that is an original adjuster the slots on some of those earlier pieces are somewhat narrow and do not fit the wider webs usually found in modern brake shoes very well. Don't try to spread the slot either as often one side of the slot will break off if you try to widen it. Napa has new adjusters with wider slots so if you have that situation, I would take an old one along for comparison and get some that are wider which properly fit the modern webs.
