If you don't have luck locally you might check with Restoration Specialties as they do list having some painted cowlboard in their printed catalog. It will take a phone call so they can tell you what colors are still available and no idea what the freight would be but typically the sheets have to be cut in order to meet carrier size limits.

I did call restoration specialties, what they had looks close in color but wont know for sure until I receive them. Thanks HH56

finally after a long search I found a local supplier for my interior paint (tangier red). they even had a color chip on the board. decided to paint a piece and compare. color is very close, though much more glossy.

As a further experiment you can get clear matte spray paints that take any finish down to a lower sheen. I suggest trying a few on sample parts to determine compatibility and finish.
Good luck,
Bob J.

Many paint suppliers can add a matting agent to the paint mix to reduce the level of gloss.
