It’s a nice video but I don’t understand why people don’t turn their device to landscape mode when taking videos. Cars are horizontal, not vertical! Vertical is portrait mode and a video of a car isn’t a portrait.

Because most social media formats are now vertical as mobile phones are the primary viewing device and when posting short format videos (aka reels), they have to in portrait mode.

Televisions and PCs are not vertical so it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

It makes no sense technologically, but the truth is that short form, vertical content gets way more views and interaction than long form horizontal content.

For example my most popular Packard video is a nothingburger “how to lubricate a visor” vertical video and under and minute, at 3.5k views:

It's fits the 60 second attention span that most people now have. Also, you pretty much have a phone within reach every waking moment. So it fits that instant gratification. Same reason why candy and other impulse items are put at the checkout registers.

My opinion stops with it’s a nice video and I’ll just appreciate it for what it is.
