Good things come to those who wait. As my father always told me if you are meant to have something it will happen.
Glad you got your bath tub now you have two projects to keep you busy.

Congratulations, I remember from our earlier sessions in the Chatroom you telling me about this car. The other side to being a multiple Packard owner is garage space or the lack of it as I presume it'll be next to the speedster? I'm looking forward to seeing you get this bathtub coupe on the road in light of this comment: "I told her that it was a running and driving car, so she LET me buy it!"
And for including it in the Owner Registry.

You don't find the car, the car finds you! (then expects you to pay!)

Congrats!

Eric,

What a fantastic find! stick shift and two door... I love stick shift! I hope you are able to get it on the road soon enough to appease the wife. I am sure she will love it. As far as the floor shift conversion, how about the Peter Toet cain shifter conversion? How unique would that be with overdrive in a 48?

Congratulations, and best of luck with your new acquisition,

Jim

Outstanding! AND that is not a bathtub car in my opinion. The fastback is a much nicer body than the four-door sedans. AND I think 48s are better looking than 49-50s. The taillights look like they belong on the car, not an afterthought. AColds and his brother and I were just looking at a 50 Pontiac fastback at the cruise this evening. Some call this style a torpedo back but I like fastback better. Good luck on the project and thank your bride for understanding your lunacy(lol).
