"Let us take a look to the dirtiest Estonian courtyard imaginable..."
Looks just fine to me. I wish my yard was that clean. Even the lawn chair and snack table are better than mine. That garage could sure use some work tho.

I found this ZIS really accidently from the Internet, I have to say it was pure luck. I also was amazed, because this thing had been there so long. It had not been recycled as scrap (this happen here to most of the old cars).
This courtyard is not the worst that I have seen, i have seen a lot worse things then this. courtyard like these are today exceptional, and usually rear. Iamb happy that the car went to restoration and was luckily found by people how know the historical value of it. I also would be interested to know how the common citizen, got a hold of it. In the former Estonian S.S.R ZIM GAZ-12 was the largest car that could legally be owned by a common citizen. Even if you somehow accidentally got a GAZ-13 a common citizen could not register it on its name, It would have been confiscated immediately.

It's really nice to see that the love of old cars is world-wide. And I hope that Estonia has eased up on it's laws regarding the size of a vehicle a person can own. I'd like to own one of those big sedans, simply because there are none here in my neck of the woods.

The law that restricted the size of a personal car has been outdated since 1991 when the Estonian S.S.R(Soviet Socialistic republic) ended. I think there are millions of people in the world that like old cars. A lot of people like american cars here, I think there are a lot of reasons for that. I would like to drive one day a 1954 Packard on the Estonian roads.

I know where there's a '54 Clipper in decent shape, trade ya for a big ole' ZIS, ZIL, or ZIM. Don't matter to me, as long as it's fixable!

Well getting a ZIM,ZIS,ZIL here Is not so easy as you might think. The last time a saw a ZIM GAZ-12 for sale was a half a year ago and they asked 12000$ for it(pictures below)! Needed restoration, some parts missing ore replaced by some other car parts. I think Russia is the place where these "Big cars" can be still found. Here these cars have already landed in someones collection and those not worth saving have been recycled as scrap. Pictures sours www.auto24.ee PS! A correction the car is still for sale I discovered kuldnebors.ee/kuulutused/S%C3%B5idukid/S%C3%B5iduautod/*+Muud+margid/GAZ+12+ZIM/kuulutused.mec?pob_post_id=7310498&pob_action=show_post&pob_cat_id=11045&pob_browser_offset=0&pob_view_language_id=et */

Wow, a '54 Packard in that condition, excluding a convertible, would be around $1200.00 US! And that's if it's in very complete condition and the engine at least started.
