Will be there most of the week and looking for members of this and the other Packard forums. Not sure which vendor it was, but we were returning from another trip this weekend heading north, and I spotted a huge green trailer with gold "Packard" script on it going southbound!! 10 guesses where he was headed on a Sunday night!

Mal:I was wondering how long it would take for a comment to be made about my statement on finding a good honest vendor.

Car parts vendors are just like life itself. You have honest vendors then you have the cheats and low life.

It is unfortunate that in life people are quick to complain, but slow to praise.

I think there are excellent vendors out there, but few people take the time to sing their praises when they have good service. So if you have good service from a Packard vendor please be sure to let us all know. I take word of mouth on good service very highly when I am choosing a vendor.

Also remember not everyone Bat's a 1000. We all have our good days and our share of bad days. So you have to take experiences on the aggregate.

Mal: I have only ever had trouble with one vendor a couple of years ago when I was selling copies of my Packard STB 48 through 56. Which I ended up donating to Packardinfo when I joined.

A fellow that posts in here and sells Packard parts tried sticking his nose into my business when I was selling them. However at his vendor tent at Hershey a few years ago I had a very blunt conversation with him about the matter. Would
not even to this day buy anything from him.

Just a warning to those who go to Hershey: If you see John heading towards the PAC tent, please follow with fire extinguisher in tow!

Eric: When I read your post I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes. Good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read your post.

The only thing that would happen if I went to the PAC tent and Stu Blond was there would be his wife would have to change his under shorts for him after seeing me.

No more comments on that subject or I might get in trouble.

You see Eric I don't hate PAC I just dislike some of the people who run PAC.

Plan to go up Thursday. The economy realy took its toll this year at Fall Carlisle, I hope that its not as bad at Hershey. Lots of vacant vendor spaces, no where near the amount of cars normally for sale, vendors opening late in the morning and packing it in early in the afternoon, constant complaint of "all lookers,no buyers" (of course, this was not affecting their outrageous asking prices in any way!) Oh well, will find out tomorrow.

The last time John met Stu at Hershey, bring hotdogs and marshmallows!

"Good honest vendor" - An oxymoron if ever there was one?

"Oxymoron" is a figure of speech that combines two normally contradictory terms

Just remember your vendor bashing the next time you call them on THEIR 800 line with no intention of purchasing anything and ask 1000 questions because your too lazy to open your shop manual, or too cheap to buy one.

I'm sure they won't forget
