What I would dearly love to find is a 22nd series Custom 8 convertible with Ultramatic
The 48-50 Custom Eights are fine cars, probably the finest Packard produced post-war along with the 21st series Custom Super Clippers. However, if you find one as you've described, it won't be authentic as Ultramatic was introduced with the 23rd series.

Thanks guys for the welcome!
Interesting. I believe I did know Ultramatic was officially introduced with the 1950 23rd series, but I'm positive I read that some of the re-badged 22nd series 1949 Packard Customs could have come with Ultramatic. Maybe wishful thinking on my part. Yes, Bill Jones' convertible is the car I want. And I even saw it for sale, when it was for sale. Unfortunately, I wasn't in a position to purchase it at the time, and still am not! But I hope to change that sooner over later.
