I just became a Packard owner for the first time. My car is a 1951 300. Although in great condition, the previous owner had started a restoration that was halted shortly after. As a result, the spark plug wires were removed and not marked. Can someone please help me determine the firing order on this straight 8 engine??

Welcome and congratulations. 1-6-2-5-8-3-7-4. Distributor rotates CCW and if installed as per usual, 1 should be around the 7:00 position.

Watch out for the Aussie who will be drumming on you to register your Packard. He's a nice chap and just wants to keep everything up to date.

Nicely put Randy, and yes that's me. Accordingly, could you please include your '51 300 in the Packard Owner's Registry here, together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it?
