I am looking for a set of replacement wiper blades (entire shinny metal blade, and rubber), or the correct part number for just the rubber refill on my '54.

I bought a set of blades a couple of years ago, and just tried to put them on the car, and realized that are the wrong connector style.

The replacement arms I bought have a catch like they snap down over a pin on the arm, but the stock arms have no pin, just a long flat piece of stepped metal goes into the blade.

When I found the blade was incorrect, I was next going to just swap the rubber piece itself, but the refill is actually thicker on the new blades, and wont fit in the OEM blade.

I can take pictures later if that helps.

The wiper blades that I've bought in the past, like the ones for my '56 had a little adapter that allowed them to fit. IIRC, they were Anco brand and 12".

RockAutorockauto.com/ claims to have blades. Drill down to the 54 Packard Clipper and they show 3 different styles. One looks maybe possible.

While it looks a bit different that the OEM one, I think this may work with the adapter it comes with:

I like the style of the OEM blade better, so I may first take it to the local parts store and see if I can find a refill that fits. If not I will order the one above.

On a hunch I bought a pair of repop 53 Chevy truck arms and blades to try on a 52 Packup. They were gorgeous polished stainless like original and with nice firm springs. The crook in the arm out near the blade was a wee bit too sharp but could be fixed in a jiffy with a squeeze in the vise. They snapped right on the car and looked terrific. I believe the whole shebang cost $45 or so. I am never screwing with tired original arms and blades again. Sorry I don't have a photo as the owner took the car home.

The "Guide" day/night rearview mirror I have on my car also was a repro-Chevy part. Also about $45. Gorgeous piece, and looks just like the optional one you could get from Packard, only its wee bit smaller. But unless you hold the two up against one another, you can't tell the difference. Just unscrew the original mirror from the mirror arm, and this screws right into place. 5 min install.

For what it is worth, I contacted Trico at their webpage concerning windshield wiper parts for my 53 Clipper and they had wiper blades and I believe wiper arms for it. They refer you to a local dealer selling Trico to buy them. Advance Auto Parts stocks Trico and lists an 11 inch Trico Classic wiper blade, their part number 33-111, which they say fits my car.
