This photo is also reversed. Two clues... anybody?

One is protocol--as a rule, high ranking officers do not sit on the left side behind the driver and second may be the truck seen in the window. Appears to be a steering wheel and possibly a driver sitting behind it which would be on the wrong side.

Probably not part of the question but there appears to be some kind of addition on the seat back to the right (if in normal view) of the ashtray. Is it some kind of switch or a tear in the upholstery? On second thought, maybe it is the hook for his microphone.

Excellent... missed both those clues. I think the thingee on the back of the seat is the holder clip for the microphone.

I picked up on two different things.

Another might be the missing dome light switch which I believe would be on the drivers side.

That's one.

The General preferred to wear his wristwatch on the left wrist.

Very good! I missed that one too. My other clue was related... based on other photos, I'm pretty sure he used the microphone with his right hand.

Not bad... 5 things to indicate the photo was flipped.

Looking at these and other photos of high ranking officers in staged surroundings makes one wonder what are they trying to prove. Wouldn't think any more publicity would be needed--at least not fake. I think the picnic shot is particularly amusing. I'd almost bet money that if it is a real picnic, there is a well laid table with chairs for them just out of camera view.

I guess on reflection, these photos and people are no different than politicians. In this case, stroking their ego & trying to look like ordinary people in ordinary pursuits. Anyone ever in the military knows that at their grade, ordinary is far from the truth, but fool the public wherever possible.

Howard, the photographs have been taken around and even inside the headquarter in a war zone. With a probability bordering on certainty the photo reporter got permission after registration. We see what the General approved.
I hope that the associations contained in or conjured up by the attached postcard will take your mind off things.
