A big hello to everyone who has replied to my question about the oil pump upgrade. I would like to thank you all for taking the time and sharing your knowledge, it is realy apprieciated. When i start the packard i do have a small rattle that does go away after a few seconds and as you have said this is not a real problem. Both front and back crankshaft seals are leaking quite badly. I am going to take the engine out to replace these, and as my packard has done 75000 miles thought it would be best to do the oil pump upgrade while the engine is stripped down. As a lot of you have recomended Jack Vines this will be my next port of call. Just to say thanks again and im sure i will have a lot more questions for you all in the future. With thanks Missedgear
