Does anyone have a procedure for removing the windows and hydraulic assemblies from the front doors and rear quarter panels (1953). I don't find anything in the Service Manual or Service Letters--unless I'm just missing it.

There is a little bit in the hydraulic section of 22-23 series manual. As I recall, 51-4 is very similar to the earlier as far as door and quarters go. There may be some detail changes but I believe the openings and twisting/positions needed is about the same.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/servicemanual4650/Section1.pdf

Howard, I went through the linked manual. Hidden screws, a special removal tool - it will be very useful to 2packards.

I've never worked on the power windows in these cars and not sure what model you have (except that it is a 2-door of some type), but I found instructions in the Body section of the 51-54 shop manual.

Side window glass removal is covered pp. 5-8, though written more for sedans. However, you'll need to remove the hydraulic regulator before removing the glass.

Hydraulic regulator removal is covered pp. 33-34.

Window adjustment is covered pp. 35-36. Though written specifically for convertibles, the text should apply to hardtop models, as well.

Thanks for the suggestions, and the 48-50 Manual Section.
Door windows were fairly easy. Quarter windows required
a lot of 'filling in the missing information'. If the system was operable it would probably be easier.
