Searching through the wilds of Idaho and look what I found. Look close boys and girls, it's a Clipper and if you're observant you'll see the tell tail signs of taxi use. If anyone is interested it's in L&L Classics in Wendell, Id.

A little soap and water and some polish and it will be good as new.

"Ready to restore." This means you can walk all the way around the car.

I guess it was just another old car by the time someone installed what appears to be a starter pushbutton below the taxi accessories. Rather crude implementation, IMHO.

Being curious, can anybody tell me what "the tell tail signs of taxi use" are?

Thanks in advance.

The taxis had the stainless frame around the window glass to prevent breakage when the doors were slammed.

Also on the dash there is the rear door ajar indicator light and the switch for the rear window motor. On the crushed roof, there appears to be holes for the taxi light.
