West,

Yes I do have an interest in aircraft. When I was in Washington DC on my previous visit to the US in 2007 spent a day at the Smithsonian and in particular took in the aircraft. But...somehow I lost all the pic's I took that day so all I now have are memories and not mementos. I had pencilled in the National Museum of the USAF at Wright-Patterson AFB for a quick "look see" in my original plans. But I may not be able to squeeze it in, in the time frame I now have available, because my flight plans changed and I'm now arriving later into Dayton.

Dave,

Looking forward to meeting you, and hopefully many other PackardInfo friends during my time at Hershey. Will be in contact beforehand so we can tee things up.

Joey,

Fort Lauderdale, you, your '48 Super Eight Touring Sedan and the Packard Museum, should be a great day!

Since starting this thread I've been in contact with Dave Lockard the self described Editor, Mailboy, Custodian, Staff Reporter, General Gopher of the Packard Truck Organisation. Unfortunately there's no Packard Truck Organisation Website yet but Dave is looking to remedy that in the future. Dave has also very generously offered me a ride on the back of his '20 Packard Truck, which I accepted with alacrity! Even better it's when the cars and at least one truck, weather permitting, enter the show field on Saturday. Dave usually has a group of folks that sit in the back of the Packard Truck as he drives it onto the show field. The pic's below were provided by Dave who said this "...the '19 has the original 'patina' (surface rust) and...a mechanical driveline restoration only..." Love the 'patina'!

Attention, evidence suggests that Mal is a French master spy.

Thanks for the warning. Obviously a double agent.

West,

Have made contact with Rick at NPD, and from his emails, as you say, "...The absolute nicest guys in the business..." He advised "...Our collection includes a 1936 120 slantback, a 1947 model 2106 (the interior is 100% original, but the car has been re-painted), and a 1956 400 Hardtop (has all of the Caribbean options such as dual-quads and wire wheels, but not a Caribbean)..." And established contact with MattS at the Museum in Dayton, although at this time no more than that.

Gerd and Joey,

I think not! Although my father worked at one stage for ASIO it was not the family business! I believe the "incriminating" image actually depicts this!

Mal, I wish the Australian part of you a good trip and the French part bon voyage! My thoughts and prayers go out to both of you.

Owen,

Do you know where the PAC Hospitality tent is going to be located?

I am hoping to attend Hershey (my first time) with my family in tow for Friday and Saturday and then the Lockard Truck Event that Sunday. I'd like to bring one of my Packards with me also.
