Not a great picture but the passenger side high tension wire brackets are shown in Service Counselor Vol 29, No. 6 of June 1955 and that document is on this site. This is the issue that deals (among other things) with setting up the 55 Caribbean carburetors.

my thought was to use the one that is on my 55 now for the rear...but split it into two pieces....each of which will mount on either side of the rear carb.

if that doesn't work...either come up with something else or use the 56 wire holders, but since i'm tring to keep everything 55 as much as possible on this car...i'll exhaust the 55 holders first.

Henry,

Use the 56 upgrade bracket. The bulletin indicates it was for use on the 55 as well.

If you don't want the later brackets, instead of splitting yours, why not pick up another set of brackets and weld on a new standoff to approximate the position of those in the picture. I would think there would be some available somewhere closer to you but if not, I have a spare 56 engine which has a pair of that early style clip you are welcome to.

Thanks HH!

if all else fails...56 updated clips will be the way to go.
