In an old thread BDeB posted this photo of a 37 fitting which may be the same as what would be on your car. I am kind of curious what the mating side looks like. From the view the end looks flat but seems odd to just have flat surfaces coming together unless it fits into some kind of pocket. Maybe this one is actually machined into an inverted flare as the 34.

I only had the fitting to examine and not the tube, but now that I see the tube and end fitting I suspect the end of the little brass sleeve has a "V" machined into it to fit snugly against the protruding male flare on the fitting in the block.

Here are some photos of the matching fitting on the block for a 115C. The tubing end ia a 45 degree SAE flare and the block end is a 1/8 pipe thread.
The diameter of the metering hole in the block end is .035"
And, yes the matching adapter on the tubing has a tapered recess to match the flare fitting.
