Hi Tim

Any chance your glassman cut the replacement too small?

Anyone have a factory installed hardtop door window out they could measure?

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

56 Executive, 28" X 13 1/2". As far as I know they were original.

The particular piece of door glass that I am trying to install in my 400 came from the driver's door of a '56 Caribbean, so it should be the same size, right? I know that the door glass from an Executive might be a problem since that was basically a dressed up Clipper.

I'll have to measure the Caribbean glass and the window that I originally took out of the 400 to see if they match. I'd be surprised if they did not, though.

According to the parts manual glass is the same right and left. All sedans are the same size and all hardtops use the same size. The only difference is the chrome frames on hardtops do have a right and left side. IIRC, the main difference there may be the position of the thin guide strip that fits in the rear felt channels or the way the frame attaches to the bottom lift piece on the glass.
