When posting, there is a checkbox to select if you want to receive notifications of new posts but you can also scroll down in any posting to select that you want notifications to it even if not posting anything. Similarly, if you no longer want notifications to a particular forum, you can uncheck the box. Seems to work quite well but if you miss the checkbox you'll definitely not get notifications!

1935 STD 8 Jim,
for including your '35 Eight Coupe in the Packard Owner's Registry. Looks very nice, a lot better than this one that sold at Auction in Australia early this year for $7,500AUD(About $5,300USD).

Wow, Jim's looks beautiful in the register. Would love to be making progress with mine, but it is stagnating, unfortunately. Mal, did you ever find out who bought the auctioned one? Or where it went?
Cheers, John

But seeing I'm currently knee deep in Packards(Nine or is it ten, I've lost count!) going to auction next month from the same consignor as the Robertson Auction, I will make some enquiries.

Jim, that looks so clean without the sidemounts. You got a very nice car! What kind of overdrive do you have on yours?

Thank BDC, I feel blessed to have it. It's a ton (two actually) of fun to drive both with and without the OD engaged. The OD is from GV (Gear Vendors) out of San Diego and was installed 20yrs ago. She'll do 50 without thinking about it but I don't push her that hard often. Everyone loves the clean fender lines without the sidemounts. I have another weekend or two before the snow flies here in PA so I hope to get another drive or two in before hibernating. Here's another pic

John,
After talking previously to Mark at Liddens with no result. Mentioned it to Adam today when there with Peter Packard, who was at Liddens closely eyeballing the '24 143 Eight Cylinder Tourer. Adam advised he knew the guy who had bought the '35 Eight Coupe, phoned him and put me on the line, sounds like a good guy. I'll email you his contact details. Also, as Secretary of the club, took the opportunity to try and sign him up as a member. Apparently he also has an earlier Packard as well as other "old" cars.
