Eddie Edmunds was an unusual guy. He certainly knew how to tune a motor for performance but was not interested in racing. His motto was "Modernize Your Motor". His parts were aimed at the ordinary motorist who wanted extra pep not the typical hot rod jockey.

He made parts for practically every car on the road. Like Packard, Nash Rambler, and cars nobody thought of as performance vehicles.

Some of his parts were a little crude looking as if the patterns were made quickly.

He had a sizable garage with machine shop. You could drive in your late model car and drive out a few hours later with your motor "Modernized" with polished aluminum accessories and 25% more HP.

If you use the intake you might want to split the exhaust manifold, in other words, add a second outlet for dual exhaust. A reground cam, milled head, shaved flywheel and recurved ignition would complete the hop up.

I will be using a tubular header, a cut 288 head (on a 327), 12V electronic ignition via Pertronix, and a reground cam. I will be using an automatic transmission so unfortunately cant cut the flywheel down. It should be a pretty good combination. My goal is to get the car on the road by October, but I have a lot to do.

See on the AACA Website, there'll be a New Aluminium 2 Carb Manifold and a New Aluminium Finned Hi-Comp Head for 288/327/359/356's at the Bakersfield Swap Meet. All you need is money!

Also what is the going rate of an Edmunds 2x2 intake, mine is by no means new but seems like a very steep price he has on his piece.
