I just found this thread, and as a fellow '55 Clipper Hardtop owner, I say welcome! The guys on here are superb and extremely helpful. You have one of the most unique cars ever built, and have lots of discoveries left!

Packard vendors, Kanterhttp://www.kanter.com/packard/pac-556.html, Max Merritthttp://www.maxmerrittauto.com/ etc.

In addition to the vendors having kits, many have been buying fuel pump kits from Then and Nowhttp://www.maritimedragracing.com/antique_auto_parts_cellar.htm Scroll down the page. The Packard Fuel Pump tab is for something else.

Carb kits from Daytonahttp://www.daytonaparts.com/

I bought a fuel pump for a 1955 Packard clipper yesterday from Advance auto parts for 20.00. The part I asked for was fuel pump 6866 for a Chrysler 318, earlier 70's....The arm looks different but it has the same rake and bolted right up and I drove it today.

We do plan on buying the rebuild kit in the future because the part says Made in the USA and we are partial to American made parts and keeping it original. They run 30.00

The parts ref link is amazing, These guys have done all the discovering so far and makes life easier. Truly <3 them

I'd recommend buying a rebuilt power brake unit from Kanter Bros or Max Merritt. It's an exchange basis so yours wlll have to be a rebuildable or core or there will be an extra charge.
