What Carburetor is in a 1955 Four Hundred

I have had this 1955 400 for ~22 years, bought when I was in high school and worked on it during the summers in my college years. While I was at my final year of college, my parents got divorced and were selling the house where the Packard was parked. At this point, I had no job, no place to live and a 2 ton vehicle that wasn't running.

My girlfriends father (now my father-in-law) offered to store the Packard in a "barn on some family land" near Roanoke, VA. I took him up on the offer thinking that I would store it for 1-2 years and then get it out once I got on my feet.

1-2 years went by but other things got in my way of getting the car - marriage, 4 kids, etc. I would check on the Packard when we would visit my wife parents but didn't have the means to get it.17 years later, I pull the Packard out and bring back to Charlotte, NC where I am living.

Unfortunately while it was stored, someone stole the carburetor off the car.

So, I have two questions:
What type of carburetor did the car have - my research shows conflicting information for the Four Hundred - was either a CARTER WCFB or a ROCHESTER 4GC?
Anyone know of where I can pick one of these up or have one they would like to sell me?

You need the 1955 version of the Rochester 4GC. The 56 will bolt up but it was changed quite a bit from the 1955 version.
You need one with #70072730 on the brass tag. This should be easily found, so don't pay a lot for it. Then buy a rebuild kit from Daytona Carburetor in Florida. It is a simple carb to rebuild. Making sure it is clean inside and out will be more difficult. Ask some friends if they have a good bucket of carb cleaner. Good luck and stop back and let us know how you make out.
Pull the plugs out and squirt some oil in each cylinder and turn the engine over by hand using the fan and a decent belt to pull it over completely at least twice.

Thank you all for the reply's, Ross, I did PM you.

I did join in 2008 when I had some ambitions of doing the restore, we then had two more kids so that put that on hold.

I have figured out what causes the kids to come so I have told the Post Office to hold my mail to keep the mailman away from my house

Brilliant, maybe the postman can help you get back to the restore?
