Looking for contact info on a good rebuilder for my original water pump for the '39 1700. The aftermarket repop unit I am using now is not working out. Thanks

I've had nothing but excellent results from Gould Rebuilders (formerly Art Gould), regular advertiser in Hemmings. For some models you can also buy a new pump from Kanter w/o need for a core. I've also heard good reports about Terrill Machine. But if I ever needed another one rebuilt, I'd go back to Gould.

I had the pump in the 400 rebuilt by Gould and had the Caribbean pump done by them also. Very dependable.

I always have Feltz Terrell do mine, top notch, reasonably priced and you will be amazed at the new looking pump when you get it back. And one more important note, Feltz is a Packard owner, 1941-110 Deluxe Conv. Coupe. Feltz was kind enough to present a short program at last years Salado meet, describing in detail the type of seal he uses in this pump.

Thanks for the help guys, I will contact them. Turn around is not a big factor, I just don't want the pump woes to continue. I never liked the look of the one on there now to begin with. Now, although it seems to work fine, it's noisy, and will leak about a cup of coolant at random, for no apparent reason, sometimes just for sitting around and doing nothing. Weird. I would do it myself but have no press, and the kit is like 70 bucks.

Terrill Machine, Feltz and Jim Terrill 254-893-2610. Mention The Flackmaster and he'll surely charge you more.

I used Terrill Machine recently for several replacement parts for my 356 engines. I received really good, fast service from them.

Just got the water pump back from Art Gould, all I can say is WOW. This thing looks perfect, I barely recognized it, it will look out of place on my old jalopy for sure. Turn around was LESS than a week, and under 100 bucks with two way shipping to boot. Very impressed.

Glad you were pleased, I've always felt confident in recommending Gould Rebuilders.
