I don't recognize the carburetor but Packard used Johnson updrafts for a short time; they proved so poor that most were recalled and replaced. Also it's not at all uncommon to find carburetor replacements, there were replacements available from many of the carburetor makers to replace the DL (though one would wonder why). I also notice the vacuum tank is missing, replaced no doubt by an electric fuel pump.

Back for a moment to the lovely 1108 LeBaron, how nice to see one not rigged out with all the various geegaws like Trippe lights, Lalique illuminated radiator caps, and the like. Just a plain bail cap, lovely.

Owen. What you said x10. In fact, I'd probably delete the wide whites as well.

The Johnson carburetors were used in 1929, I believe. As you said, they proved so bad that before year's end, they were replaced with DL's.

Here's a pair of the Johnsons on the IL Twelve.

Hi

I'm with West on this one, that '34 12 LeBaron Sport Pheaton is right at the top of the list...

of course.... that list includes:

A '30 745 LeBaron convertible sedan
Any of the Dietrich Individual Customs with the V-windshield
The '34 Dietrich "Car of the Dome", one of those lovely sport sedans
A '40 Darrin Convertible Sedan, or the one-off Sport Sedan
A '41 LeBaron Sport Brougham.

.....too many to list, better stop...!

Steve
