The 1940 120 is another that requires comment on early vs later design bits. This one has early bumpers with the squished ends but a later trunk lid with the Packard grille-shape emblem (earlier 1940s had a chrome Fleur de Lis). However, it has a pair of early script wheelcovers on the driver side and a later one on the passenger side mismatched with one of a different year.

Oh, that 1955 Clipper Constellation.......be still my heart!!!

I love that color combo. My Mom drove a red and white '55 Constellation in 1957 thru 1959. My Grandmother drove it in 1955 and 1956. The perks of being married to the owners of a Packard dealership.

That '47 looks to be a Custom Super Clipper.

Wat, if it’s a Constellation, then it is a Custom. If it were a Panama, it would be a Super.

Pick of the day on Facebook Marketplace:

1954 Patrician. Unrestored and not running but looks complete. Extensive surface rust on roof and deck lid due to outdoor storage, but don't see any rust thru on body. Car located in Florida:

1955 Clipper Super Panama. Needs exterior cosmetics, interior redone, but I'm not sure you would want to be seen in it. Probably overpriced at $9K. Note: Ad states car is a '56, but it is a '55. Winston-Salem, NC:

1954 Caribbean. In primer. Looks pretty trashed. but body looks straight and solid with good floors. Incomplete with some missing parts including the top assembly. California.

On the '54 Patrician I would expect to see rust issues on the inside of the roof. My '54 Panama had evidently spent a lot of time outside, and rust had gotten through the drip channel into the windshield header and destroyed it. There were also a couple of pinholes in the center of the roof. All fixed now, but that was a nightmare.

The '55 Panama.....I'm not quite sure what to say. The interior is, uh, different. Not sure why they put on a different rear end.

That body looks better than the one on my Super, if it has floors.

I scored the last freebie you posted.
