Light day today. Got the first coat on the front bumper complete. Got the weather strip channel and weatherstripping on the convertible top and front door and put on the hood props. Gonna have to look at the hinge on the hood. Not a very good design on my opinion. Hinge works but the keeping it attached at the radiator and firewall are a bit touchy when opening. Propping both sides up is an automatic unhinge.

Gas tank and wire harness are here. Still waiting for the exhaust system and fuel line.

Looks like we are getting some weather this week in PA and temps taking a nose dive.

Cheers
Ben

I am prepping more for the Wire Harness installation. Looking for guidance on the Voltage Regulator and Generator. Specifically the GEN, FLD, GRD and Bat.

I could not see any markings to identify, if they are on there

Below are pictures of each with numbers for each hook up. Hoping someone could guide me in the proper line uo

Generator
1 = ?
2 = ?
3 = ?

2 is ground. The generator case is always ground.

Of the other two, the smaller lug is FLD.

If they are same, an electrical test can determine which is which.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Exactly Humanpatatohybrid, as this image shows, red is armature, brown is field, black is ground. (I tapped an accessory also to the ground)

No, not a clear one. Mine won't relate either as it is the newer one out of the '53 Patrician engine compartment. On yours though look carefully on the stamping that holds the screws, I bet there's a B for battery, an A for armature, and an F for field stamped or etched into the metal. The ground of course simply goes with one of the mounting screws. You may need to wire brush the metal and use a strong light to see the letters. On mine they are actually on the back too, so look there first as that is usually less affected by soilage.
If the wires are too dirty to see what is what, using a test light will show you a circuit from the generator.
Good luck.
Bob J.
