Can you install a 352 4 barrel intake on a 320 engine? The 56 my buddy bought has the stock 2 barrel carb and would like to upgrade to a 4 barrel if possible. Thanks in advance!

the intake manifold should bolt right on. just the same as putting a dual quad intake on a clipper...it bolts right on.

Thats what I thought. My understanding was all the engines were the same basically externally. Now the next question, anybody have an extra set up to part with?

A 320 in a 56 Clipper with a stock 2-bbl., you say? Doesn't sound right - not a factory install.

The 320 was used in the 55 Clipper Deluxe and Super models, but fitted with a 4-bbl. - either a Carter WCFB 2232S or 2284S.

The only 2-bbl. used in the 55-56 Packard-Clipper line was on the 352 in the 56 Clipper Deluxe and Super models - a Carter WGD 2393S.

The three intakes as use in 55/56 (1x2-bbl., 1x2-bbl., 2x4-and bbl.) will fit any of the three engines (320, 352, and 374), but if the subject car does indeed have a 320, you might want to use the 55's WCFB to avoid the need for rejetting and other adjustments.

Get the first part of the engine number (VIN) off the flat on the engine block next to the oil filler tube. That can then be related to engine size. Otherwise, you'd have to take off a cylinder head to determine CID.

Yes you are correct. It must be a 352. This is the first 56 I've messed with.
