Can anyone advise a supplier for the reversing light switche that plugs into the end of the selector shaft on the 1929 models. Later models probably use the same switch.
New ones were available at Hershey many years ago but I cannot recall the vendor.

I might have a spare one if it's the same switch used in the 10th and 11th series - can you look up a part number for me?

Dave,
The part number for the 1929 "Backing light switch assembly" is 157700 , the parts book lists the same number for the 626-633 and 640-645 models. I do not have a parts book for the later models to check for interchange. The switch has a bayonet fitting into a socket at the end of the selector shaft.
I bought a couple of these pre-internet at Hershey, they were new reproductions. I used them both in my cars and now a friend is looking for one for a 640

Dave, thanks for providing the number, but it doesn't correspond to the switch that I have. Best of luck finding one, and sorry I couldn't help.

Dave, Thanks for looking. Might have to improvise , Packardbarry's starter switch solution is interesting. There is always a way.
