Purchased the vehicle in parts and boxes with the body off the frame. Have been taking it all apart and cleaning and painting piece by piece. Found a gentleman in the Seattle area who has been working on Packards since he was a teenager. He is now a senior citizen. He got my engine and promptly told me that the block was shot. Fortunately he has many spare parts and succeded in rebuilding my engine.
Frame went to be blasted and painted and is waiting for fender bodywork to be able to dry fit before I begin rewiring and replumbing. Hope to get a complete rolling chassis before starting on the body which has not a stitch of interior and needs lots of woodworking.

Bob,

Quite a project there and with the help of the old Packard gent you're making great progress. I'll be following along with interest as your 526 comes back to life.
