Also, in 1919 the Navy NC-4 sea plane, powered by four Packard-designed V-12 Liberty engines was the first aircraft to fly across the Atlantic. Packard was making headlines on land and in the air!

At an earlier date the unstoppable durability of a Packard was confirmed by the technical commitee of the Automobile Club of America.

A nice little Packard publication on their various speed records of which they were justifiable proud. The pamphlet is undated but obviously 1927 or later.
