Thanks for the clarification Brian.

I see it now as a V over a T.

I mite ad that the 2wo character state abbrev. code was not widely used or at least not official until sometime AFTER ca. 1977 or maybe a little later. I realize that many of u young men such as Kevin, Owen and Eric would not realize the realatively new state codes would not make sense in a picture of that particular era. That's why i missed it.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for setting me streight and have a spledid holiday season.

PS: there was no television prior to the late 40's either. No internet prior to late 70's...

I believe that state abbreviations are the same as they have always been. The two characters you see most often nowadays are postal codes. I, for one, will never use the two-character code unless giving out a postal address, or addressing an envelope.
