I would guess my parents received this as a gift when they bought a new 1952 Packard 250. Thanks to my Mother who never threw anything away. I just discovered this while looking through some old cards. J. P. Mooney was located in McKeesport Pa.

Thanks again Guscha.
I learned how to hotwire our Packard when I was 14 and taught myself how to drive. It was such a great auto that I became a Packardholic.

Yes, I noticed that and assumed that they got a stash of rulers when they first became aa dealer and decided not to throw them away even though they were out of date.
I liked the phone number! Area code???

My 54 Cavalier was sold new in McKeesport PA.

By the Mooney dealership. I have all the paperwork on my car including the original bill of sale.

On GE all I see is a car-wash now but the city historical soc. came up with a picture.

My car lived in McKeesport from birth until the 1990's where it went to SoCal to get restorated and now lives at my house near Phoenix AZ.

Drove it around the hood just this morning.

Jim.

I remember Mooney Volkswagen at the same site in the early 70's. We had a 1965 VW Beetle when I was growing up and vividly remember going there for service. A story in the now-defunct (McKeesport) Daily News about the history of McKeesport car dealers showed a picture from 1958 when as Mooney Packard they were also selling Studebakers and Edsels (they must of been not too busy). They make a smart choice switching to selling VW's They moved to a new location just outside of town in the mid-70's and the site is now a car wash. More info at this link:

A friend at a cruise gave me this. Sounds like mid-late 30's based on price??

Good Morning all...Jim's Packard is a beautiful car. It looks almost new. It was over in our part of town for a head gasket a while back and I got to see it and have breakfast with Jim...Ernie
