What headlight is correct for the Model 243 Packards. The earlier model Packards used Bausch - Lomb fork mounted headlights, and it appears the early Model 243s used a similar light that was base mounted with one large bolt. After this, the model 343 used the Parabeam headlight. Both of these lights were barrel shaped, and the early ones had the parking light in the headlight. I have not been able to locate a Bausch -Lomb headlight with the single bolt mount. Does anyone know what is correct, and where I might find the correct headlights? Thanks, Phil Clayton

The eight cylinder 243 headlights were a symmetrical drum where the rear bead was similar to the front bezel. This is unlike the six series where those headlights were not symmetrical. The rear bead was concave into the drum. It makes sense as the six was a smaller car than the eight. This detail is shown on period advertisements. I too would recommend Donald Axlerod.
