I have a 1953 Packard Clipper Convertible. This car is a California car with 70,000 original miles. One owner. Straight car (no accidents). There is some rust, but nothing structural. Complete car, engine turns, but not running. Great candidate for resto-mod or full restoration. The original color was a Meridian Blue Metallic. The original chrome Swan hood ornament included. Original owner passed away and was an estate sale car. I have the "bill or sale" document from Wells Fargo Bank. CALL (do not text) Alan at 951-878-5392. Leave a message. $5000 and the car is yours. You probably won't get much response without posting some photos here. No one would want to waste their time if they didn't have some idea upfront what they are looking at! Incidentally, if it has a swan, then it's not original. Packard used a cormorant.

Where's the car at? Pictures would be great. I do love convertibles...

This does look like a pretty good deal for $5K. I've seen worse advertised for much more money. It does need a lot of work, but coming from CT myself, you can't beat West Coast sheet metal. Unrestored convertibles from around here are typically rusted into the earth.

Looking at the shot of the data plate, it appears that the original color of this car was Scheme "B" which was Meridian Blue Metallic, a dark blue shade. Would look nice restored in its original color. The car was apparently repainted a bright red color which looks good in the photos, but this is not a '53 Packard factory color. The closest was Matador Maroon (Scheme U), a dark maroon color.

Does look like a lot of car for the money, especially if the rust is minimal. To bad it's not a manual transmission.
