I added a new option to the forum. You should be able to drag and drop JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) images one at a time onto the edit window to insert them inline into your post.

For example:

Click to see original Image in a new window

and also:

Click to see original Image in a new window

Please give it a try and let me know. I am sure there are bugs to work out.

You will not actually see the pictures until you submit the post.

Edit: looks good so far (well, the new feature does, not that sorry Bentley). Very convenient!

I'll probably remove some of the unneeded/unused buttons from the editor and add a new "Insert Image" button which will allow images to be inserted inline from mobile devices as well.

Once I get those working then I will try to tackle selecting and inserting multiple photos at the same time, verses one at a time. But that will take a bit longer.

The forum software is open source and really hasn't progressed in a long time. I've tweaked it myself for our own usage over the years, but at this point I really need to just add my own features as I really don't know if folks that manage the stock open source code will ever get around to them.

I believe that is a Pimpley not a Bentley. Same person that did that paint job probably redid my Clipper interior.Click to see original Image in a new window

Thanks for adding this Kev. I find it easier to show projects and ask questions when the text and pictures are together, rather than at the end of the post.

I wouldn't put something like that in my car myself since I like originality, but it honestly doesn't look half bad. Aside from the red headliner, Packard had a similar color interior in some years which I quite like. (example 1951 250)

Ok, I've removed some unneeded items from the toolbar above. Also, I added a new "INSERT IMAGE BUTTON" on the far right.

Click to see original Image in a new window

If you use this, it works like the drag and drop to insert the picture inline into the message post. You can use it multiple times in the same message post. This should give the same option for inserting images and make it friendly to mobile users.
