Does anyone have a source for repairing and tuning a Sparton horn for a 1929?

Here is a video on a 1955 horn. Can you post a picture of yours?

Hello,
I restored my Sparton SOS horn on a 1929 Seven Passenger Sedan a few years ago and it works great after a little experimentation and patient adjustment. Make sure all the components are clean. Also, make sure the vibrating plates go back together exactly like they were taken apart. They won't work if they are backwards. The trick is to put it all back together loosely, then make gradual small twists of that large front plate on the brass thimble. You will notice that as you turn it, the "rattling" turns into a "hum", then a weak "honk", then a full blown "trumpet" when you have it dialed in. PM me if this confusing discourse needs clarification.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am looking for someone who repairs and tunes them. I have tried my luck with no success.

Can you post a picture? What is the resistance measurement between the coil side contact and ground, with the contacts open?

I sent you a PM….I successfully rebuilt a set of Spartan horns for my 1937. I had no clue what I was doing when I started, but have horns that sound great now. Yours are a bit earlier than mine so it my experience may or may not be helpful.
