How do u plan to drive the car???? Long distance touring, City crusiing at nite or just shows?????

My personal preference is not to chop or slam'em but just make a good mild city cruiser that is good for long hiway runs too.

Tinted glass, spot lights, fog lites, continental kit, wire wheels, Van-Aukins. The front seat will probably need an arm rest. It has always amazed me that a luxury car like Packard had no front arm rest.

As for the visor they are great in low speed city traffic and for privacy but not good out on the hiway.

Need to do something about the headlites too. Not sure what. Either need to make them more conspicuous or less. Factory styling on the headlites was bit stark. So think about different ways to make them more or less noticeable.

Maybe a landau padding on the top. I like green aligator material for that. Maybe use a smaller rear window like the limo's use.

I'd just try to pimp it out the best i could like similar new cars are done. Think twice before chopping tho.

Mite want to think about using 56 Sr. front fenders. The headlites are very deep set into the fender and almost un-noticeable. Except for the grill, the 56 fenders can probably be easily grafted to the car.

Lots of great ideas there for a 50's Packard customization without a lot of expensive body chopping. Note the sunvizor. Headlites are bit much tho.

all of the chopped '50's Packards I have found on the net are not looking sleek enuf to warrant surgery. --- > surgeon needed

for sure the Exterior Sun Visor will enhance the sinister look I am goin for (thanks for the link!!!!!)


Landau top is an interesting option altho a landua was responsible for the devasttating hidden roof rot on my 74 Gran Torino Elite. (new england car) (not a Packard)

Complete electrical overhaul will be finished by tomorrow thanks to my pit crew !
then on to - tune up, new tyres, system, touch ups: shave the handles, hupcappers, need some glass, SYSTEM AND TINT!!!
