HH56, a pourable and cureable urethane is a STERLING idea. And after I'd done that but before attaching and adjusting, I'd think seriously about checking and possibly replacing the motor mounts.

Thanks all for the warm welcome and timely and thorough information. I'm sure I'll post every now and then regarding my ongoing saga to keep "Doc" (what my 3 year old calls the car) running.

I'm likely one of the youngest members of the forum...so pass the knowledge on to me and I'll carry the torch! I'm 39 years old and my son wants to get on the creeper with me any chance he can.

Well I am 37, so I still have you beat by a couple of years, and I know there are a few younger than myself on here.

I think more and more folks in our generation and earlier are beginning to appreciate Packards as welcomed alternative to Big-3 automobiles that dominate the old car scene.
