Summit Racing Equipment Retail Super Store in Tallmadge Ohio

I was there last year and enjoyed the joint show very much.
I will be there this year and hope to meet some new folks.
I'll bet the Kish brothers will attend also.

For those unfamiliar, this is a very nice show that is located at a great venue (there's shade and a retail store full of high performance parts to drool over). It's definitely heavy on Studes but a nice little group of Packards is there as well. If you're in the area it's worth the afternoon.

The show was really good! Pacman Don showed up with at least five Packardbakers. The Kish brothers came out in Joe's 56 President. There were a lot more Packards this year than last.
I put 259 miles on Best Other using 15.7 gallons of Sunoco's best. A little better than 16 mpg The S-P combo cruised home as it got dark, but before it did we were getting our pictures taken by passing motorists. We stayed close to the speed limit as the revenooers were out getting a lot of revenue.
Brian showed up and we solved a lot of world problems while eating cashews.
The Gehring's were also present and Jason and I discussed his installation of a tranny cooler. Nice folks.

I think the cooler and less humid weather - on top of the great expanse of Summit Racing's concrete parking lot, rimmed with shade trees - really helped the event.

I'll bet the number of S-P cars in attendance was in the hundreds, but there were several other independents brands represented - even a few examples of product from the Big Three.

The Ohio Region Chapter of the SDC did a fine job in running the event, and kept things light very light-hearted.

Joe's Studebaker President got Most Original Studebaker.
And Best Other got Most Original Packard.
And I am out of PACKARDINFO.COM cards because I have introduced several new folks to this most informative site.
